I'm planning to trade in my 97 Civic this weekend for a 06 Rav4 or an 06 Element. The transmission on the Civic is running, but very faulty. Would it be better to get it fixed AND THEN trade it in? Or will dealerships take them as-is and $crew you in the process?

I just got a new BMW for my birthday and when I was looking at the website @ the accelleration times, the automatic was greater by a few tenths of a second. Even though my car has steptronic auto (which means I can use manual if I want, but w/ no clutch), is my accelleration time still not as good as my car's manual counterpart?

Is it because of the added weight of putting in whatever it is that has to be added for automatic transmission?

Is there going to be a replacement anytime soon? The 350Z has been around for a while now (almost 5 years) and other Nissan VQ35DE cars have been replaced or refreshed since then.

Did I put to much water? I've replace the part cause it broke on me two days ago. The thermostat housing came with a new thermostat. Should I take a bid off the water out.

I live in Vegas and the airport is right by this street I work near and I cruise at least 50 to 60 MPH or so and those planes would have to be going at least 100 MPH as fast as it leaves me in the dust. Any idea of how fast need to go to take off? I am talking about the planes like Southwest, American West, United Airlines, Delta and planes of those sizes.

I have read that the KLEEN WHEELS brand restricts "cooling off" the brakes - is that bad? What affect does that have, if any, with stopping the vehicle? Will the brakes fail? Wear out faster?

The guy that I would be buying it from just moved to Ireland and needs to get rid of the car cause he cant drive it over there. He wants $2900 for it which would cover the cost of shipping and insurance. He is going thru Yahoo! Autos to sell it and it seems safe but my gut is telling me not to send this guy the money. Now Yahoo told me that this guy has put $15,000 into a secured account that was locked 2 days ago and he cant get any of the money out. And as soon as I send the $2900 he will ship it. And when it gets here I have 15 days to test drive it and inspect it. If I dont want it I can send it back at his cost and my money will be refunded to me in full. The car is a 2000 VW Jetta. He says its in almsot perfect condition. I have been told by the Western Union people that if I dont know the person personally that I shouldnt send the money. I need help. If its truly safe I dont want to pass it up but if its not I cant afford to be out $2900.
