you actually need to put a seperate antenae on your car to use the tv function on your dvd player. look at the old style limos with the bomerang style on the trunk. those arent used anymore but you needed them to watch tv. you will need a sperate antenae stuck to your back window and wired into the back of your dvd player. let me know the model of it and i can help you from there
