most auto pricing websites ask for personal info. Just want to get real invoice pricing with incentives without giving up any personal info.

Recently the passenger window on my 2001 Sebring LX stopped functioning properly. When using the driver's side control for Up/Down, the window functions fine. When using the passenger's side control, the window will come down but will not come up. If the driver's side "Window Lock" is on (blocking), then it won't come down or up (as expected).

Before I tear apart the door to check for corrosion on the switch, does anyone have a suggestion as to what issue this may be?

I'm trying to find a diagram of the jack so I can identify the name of the part I need as well as a place to order the part.
The jack is about 20 years older or so and I know it would be easier to just go and buy a new one but this has sort of turned into a 'mission' sort-a-speak between my buddy and I. Any help would be appreciated.

Due to illness my Passat sat for 6 months and had to have a new battery, it has 48K miles. When I took it to NJ State inspection the tech plugged in the OBD and got the following results:
*Catalytic Converters - Not Ready
*Oxygen Sensors - Not Ready
* Secondary Air Injection - Not Ready
The result is I did not pass for emission problems. Any help would be appreciated as I am not working and can not afford a large bill at the local VW Dealer's Service Department.

Thanking any and all in advance.

Tom

The car was fixed a couple of months ago for the same thing. We were told that the mechanic reset the theft system and that we may need to get a new key since the car was not recognizing the key we had.

The dent can't be hammered out, because there is metal in the way. I tried a plunger, but it didn't work. The dent is to the right of the drivers side passenger door. It is to the right of the wheel-well. I would like a way to get it out using stuff you can find around your house. I also do NOT want to drill. Also, does anyone know what the Dent Doctor would charge to take out a lare dent? I do not want to pay more than $100 right now.

I'm confused here about the whole "corrective lenses" restriction and how the police enforce such a thing.

How would the police even know if you're lying about wearing contact lenses just to get out of getting a ticket for NOT wearing eyeglasses?

I mean, let's assume someone IS wearing contact lenses instead of eyeglasses. Would the police look at the license, notice the corrective lenses restriction, and ask the driver why he or she isn't wearing eyeglasses? Could the driver just say he or she is wearing contact lenses and the cop just take the driver's word for it and leave it at that without issuing a ticket?

Any of you with personal experience ever been given a citation for not wearing corrective lenses (either eyeglasses or contact lenses) while driving? What's been your experience with the corrective lenses restriction on your driver's license and/or how did the police react or how did they NOT react when looking at your license and/or corrective lenses restriction?

Im car shopping, and lookin for the best deal on a 2004 Nissan Maxima. I will be financing, and would like the best deal possible. Cars.com has a nice listing of cars and different prices, and ofcourse the slightly lower Maxmia e.g 2004 with over 75,000 miles is a about 16,995. Is it worth it to purchase late model cars like this for that kind of money? Do you think a good tune up should do the trick?!? HEEEEELP

apparently the damage was really bad...he said the boot had literally been crushed to nothing. bmw took the car back for a couple of months to fix it and have since returned it good as new. I was wondering, when he does come to sell it on what effect will this incident have on its value...does something like this show up on any checks, or if part exing, would he be legally obliged to tell a dealer about the collision. any help in clarifying this would be much appreciated.
