You will have to get used to the site, however, they have done alot of research and provide the info including comparsion, gas mileage, used car value, invoice price, hold back, rebates and dealer incentives.

I found a dealer that sold me my new car for invoice less 1/2 hold back.

Good luck

I just get it from the dealer. I'm honest with them and I always buy my new cars around $100 over invoice ( before rebates ), and less later in the model year. They have always been open and honest. The holdback is not something they will give up. It's about 3% of the price. Sometimes a dealer has sold enough cars to get even more incentives and have passed them on to me, but I've dealt with that dealer a long time. Anyway, don't go in there like you know it all, or like they owe you anything, and they'll be happy to deal with you.

You could always ask the dealer, but like Art says, they are all liars anyway. In reality it isnt what the dealer paid for it, but what you are willing to pay for it. It amazes me in this country that people will go to a department store and pay retail price for a shirt with 300% markup and not ask for a discount but will try to get down to the last 5 cents from a car salesman. When Saturn first started they talked about making buying a car a pleasant experience by offering no haggle pricing. Every auto manufacturer has the same thing, pay sticker for the car and you don't have to haggle! Remember that the person you beat up to get to the last penny of profit is the same person that you are going to depend on when something goes wrong with your car. If I made a reasonable profit and put money in my pocket selling you a car, I will bend over backwards to help you with a service related issue. If you mooched me down to nothing, I will point at the service department and tell you to take your whining that way. You can give a dealer 3-5% profit over the invoice price and not break your bank, and have someone that will help, remember, and go that extra step for you for years to come. Also, don't lie to your salesperson about your situation. The salesperson is there to help you buy a car. He doesnt make money unless you buy, so he will do what he can to get you the deal you want. Lastly, remember that you get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. I have no interest in selling a car to someone that is rude, condescending, or treats people like they don't matter. Salespeople are human beings and should at the very least be treated with the same respect you would give anyone else you are doing business with. You wouldnt want people coming into your office and cussing, yelling, and screaming at you and talking to you like you were a piece of s**t, so don't do it to others.

it quite in all fairness a line of B/S! that isn't any longer Ford's "worthless" assure, it really is the reason rigidity. before each little thing, no broking would want to EVER deny an engine declare saying that an engine is a "everyday positioned on and tear" merchandise! So we can positioned that merchandise to relax in the present. You of direction haven't any first-hand information of each and each of the files interior the case -- and likely no longer very a lot of innovations about engines both. there is basically one sensible reason behind that variety of catastrophic engine failure on a sparkling engine - severe over-revving. Even sitting in impartial with the accelerator floored does no longer reason that variety of damage, the computing gadget would want to prevent the engine from exceeding the redline. Sticking the gearshift in first equipment at 60+ MPH would want to reason that volume of damage. damage of that sort does no longer be lined below the warranty -- on a Camaro, Mustang, Mercedes, Toyota, stay sparkling of, or the diverse make. damage from abuse or mis-use isn't lined through the warranty, nor might want to need to that is. If a motorized automobile with that variety of damage were offered at a broking for a assure declare, the zone workplace would want to likely approve a tear-down inspection at no fee. The underlying reason should be rather common to be positive. If it were a production ailment, the warranty declare should be commemorated. If it proved to be abuse, which will be defined to the owner who would want to then might want to need to make a call how they had to proceed.

Good luck... they ALL want to call and bug the $hit out of you! Hold back is NOT that much money so ignore that part of a dealers price.

edmunds.com is a good source, but don't expect the dealer to show you all their cards. they will lie more often than not.
