Recently the passenger window on my 2001 Sebring LX stopped functioning properly. When using the driver's side control for Up/Down, the window functions fine. When using the passenger's side control, the window will come down but will not come up. If the driver's side "Window Lock" is on (blocking), then it won't come down or up (as expected).

Before I tear apart the door to check for corrosion on the switch, does anyone have a suggestion as to what issue this may be?

97% chance it is the switch, 3% chance it is a wire problem. The switch is relatively easy to replace.

Try a quick spray of contact cleaner into both switches, your best to disconnect the battery first. The next step would be the switch,
remove the switch and perform a continuity test with and ohm
meter. If it tests OK do the same with the drivers side switch
because the pass side switch is a slave to the master switch.
If all is OK you most likely have a cut or broken wire in the
harness between the body and door in the rubber boot.

Hope this helps good luck

No suggestions to that... only real advice would be to get dirty and check the connections. Sounds like a wire is bad or there is some corrosion.

If yoe listen a click sound (from contained in the door-not the change) this is probably not the motor.ascertain the window "lock out" activate motive force's door isn't pushed in.Window will be stuck to weatherstrip (run channel)-takes position at situations in warm climate.
