I have a '89 Beretta with a 2.8 V6. Last year during the building of my house the timing chain broke. I drained the coolant and removed some of the hoses but then didn't have time to complete the job, so it sat. Now that the house is done, I have all the parts and tools needed to replace the timing chain, but I'm wondering if the engine is still sound after sitting for so long, mainly because the cooling system has been open to outside air for over a year.

How fast is 138 horsepower....? The car that I am getting is a Hyundai Elantra...I really like the car..its really cute...plus I can see out of it...lol...problem with being short...
so I guess my question is..are they good cars...I know that the are only a v4..and I am used to a v8...

I dont. And i never will. If they wanna speed by and get a ticket, then they can get over and pass me. i just slow down when someone tailgates me and i flip them off. Then when they get over to try and pass me, i speed up and try not to let them by. Sometimes it works and they get back behind me and i just slow down again, sometimes it doesnt work. But its fun.

I have a '91 Chevy Lumina with a 3.1 V6. On really hot days when I'm stuck in traffic or at a drive-thru, the temperature guage approaches the high side and the cooling fan does not come on. A few times the guage showed an overheat condition and the temp light also came on...no fan. My Haynes manual is worthless in many aspects, this being one of them, so I need help from you kind folks. How can I check the fan relay to see if that is the problem? Or could it somehow be the temp sensor or thermostat?

I have factory rims on my SUV and they were silver but now they're black. When I wash it the stuff I bought from AutoZone that's supposed to remove it doesn't work. I've heard that they sell an acid that is supposed to work. Can I remove it some other way and if not where can I find the acid stuff?

diagnosed as p0300 mech says there is intermittant loss of power to #1 coil and he will have to take the whole wire harness out to see if there is a broken wire he charging 82 dollars an hour and says he doesn't know how many hours it will take him to find the wire does this sound like a rip off or what

ok yesterday my windshield wipers worked then i went in store came back out and they wouldnt work.I think its the motor and not the switch.When i push in on the switch the motor is making a really loud like humming noise.And the funny thing is that now also my fan is not working so its overheatin.Does anyone know what this may be.Any help i would appreciate thanks alot.But i dont have any clue about cars

I just got a ticket in Santa Monica for going through a red light. I was in the left lane, stopped at a red light, then the left arrow turned green and I went straight. I wasn't even aware I had gone through a red light and had to ask the cop why he was stopping me. I cannot afford to pay this right now and it was a totally honest mistake. Are there recommendations on how to get this dismissed? P.S. I recently moved to town, and was also up all night with my 3-yr-old (I'm a single parent), so those could have been factors why I did that.

I purchased the sensor after the OBD II equipment stated that there was a problem with it, and replaced a sensor that is exactly the same on the drivers side. I have a feeling that I got the camshaft sensor and not the one with the problem, therefore I need to know where the crankshaft sensor is so I can replace the right one. Dealership confirmed that the part number for both is the same but could not give me a diagram or help on the location...

Has anyone ever co-signed a car and the person that you co-signed for did not pay it. I am freaking out he made 2 payments but he did no pay last months. I am freaking out. Hello-

Her is my situation: I live in California. My drivers license will be suspended Aug. 1 for one month and then I will have a restricted license for 3 months after that- I do have insurance and will have insurance the whole time.

What I am wondering is:

Id like to sell the car, I really need to actually, that I have and get another one. But am I going to be able to buy another car (either from a private party or dealer) with my license situation? I dont think there would be a problem with switching over my insurance to another car but I dont know about switching over the registration and everything else...

Anyone have any ideas?

I just bought a 95 civic ex coupe but the guy I bought it from did an engine swap on it. He said he got the engine from a 97 civic ex. I need to get the timing belt done and need to know what kind of engine I have. I'm pretty sure it's a D16 but I don't know if it's a Y8 or a Z6 or something else. Is there anyway to find out?
