Hello-
Her is my situation: I live in California. My drivers license will be suspended Aug. 1 for one month and then I will have a restricted license for 3 months after that- I do have insurance and will have insurance the whole time.
What I am wondering is:
Id like to sell the car, I really need to actually, that I have and get another one. But am I going to be able to buy another car (either from a private party or dealer) with my license situation? I dont think there would be a problem with switching over my insurance to another car but I dont know about switching over the registration and everything else...
Anyone have any ideas?

no, ive had a suspended license for a year now. insurance will not cover u if u get in a accident. And u cant buy a car either they will most likely run ur license.

I'm not familiar with California law - but anyone can buy a car, they just can't drive it without a license.
You should be able to buy it, but you can't test drive it, and someone else would have to drive it to your driveway, where it'll sit for the next few weeks.

I seriously doubt you will be able to buy a car with a suspended license. I would call your local DMV and ask them though

you can still buy a car with a suspended license ,,and the insurance company will change it for you,,but if you do it while your license are suspended they will raise the price of your insurance a lot,and i don't think you will be able to get it registered either,,you need to call the dmv,,and ask them about it,,good luck with it.

You need a valid license in CA to buy a car. I know. I sell them.

It shouldn't be an issue under the restricted case. While suspended you won't be able to do it.
