What do you think the labor in hours would be for a mechanic to do a complete rebuild of the steering on a '73 Vette with power steering? please answer only if you know the vette steering,,, Thanks.

very expensive. the hoses, hydraulic assist and all the bushings and steering parts i wouldnt venture to guess now but when i was doing it i think it was in the 1500 area. I know the hydraulic cylinder isnt cheap but i cant remember the price. also you didnt mention if its just the power part you want rebuilt or the whole front end. and yes i have rebuilt 4 vettes within the 70's model year. if you havent done the brakes yet start digging deeper in those pockets. some of that stuff you wont find labor times for or it has to be subleted out. wish i could be of more help
