I'm thinking of buying either a Prius or an Insight, because these are the hybrids that supposedly get the best gas mileages. I know what the EPA estimates are for their gas mileage, and I also know those estimate can be very far from reality. Any one know what these cars really get for gas mileage?

I checked everything and even use test light to see if everything has powers. No idea? Only other thing I can think of maybe is the brake pad switch but I replaced twice??? So, how can I check if the brake pad swich is good before I install it?

Recall info:
blubs changed, fuses good, tail light is good, turn signal is good, all area has powers(tested). So, with headlights on or off both back brake lights don't work just the middle but tail light works and is the same blub???

i filled up the tank. reset the odometer. and 38.3 miles later i filled up the tank again with 3.56 gallons. so is this right or did i calculate wrong? if im right, im screwed. cause i was expecting min 19mpg

I usually go 75-80, but i have gone up to 100 before. But thats rare. Ive only gone all the way to 100 once, and 95 once more recently. And when i do it, its only for like, a few seconds. then i slow down.

If the compression is ok at 85-95 in my 83 johnson 150, then why am I only getting half power at full throttle, I had a bad coil wire, which I changed all 6, thought that would fix the problem, but it did not. Should I go into the carbuerators next?

I HAVE A 1998 FORD ESCORT LX I WAS IDOLING AND THE CAR BROKE DOWN I TRIED TO JUMP IT AND IT WOULD NOT JUMP MY LIGHTS AND RADIO STILL WORK AND IT WILL CRANK BUT WONT START?? I have a '97 Mazda Protege. The dealership was supposed to fix this valve, but when I picked the car up up, it ran worse than when I took it in!!! Came close to stalling at every stoplight, & then the 'check engine' light came on before I even got home!
Yes, I know...I will call them!
BUT---I would like to have a little info on this before I call so I don't sound like I'm completely clueless. LOL!
(Yes, I'm one of those "dumb female-types" who knows squat about vehicles. But that's gonna change this fall---I'm signed up for a class @ the local tech college, for 'basic auto'.
I made it through nursing school, & specialize in cardiac ICU care...so this shouldn't be much harder! LOL!!)

It was minus traficators on arrival, I have fitted 4 mini indicators and three-way switch which work fine but I have still not sorted where the three flasher wires go in the circuit, the unit is a Ford relay (19FL 012933) and the three connectors are 49+ 31- 49a.All of the circuit is wired back to one of the 12volt batteries through a 13amp fuse block. Hope some kind person can make road legal ?
