I have a 2003 Jetta. It's a great car.... when it runs. I've had a few problems with mine, and it had to be repaired. The only good thing is when something does go wrong the dealership has always been quick to repair it since it is still under warranty.

I have a 2001 1.8T, it was well behaved until a couple of months ago: problems with the O2 sensor, which seems very commonplace amongst other Jetta owners. It took almost $400 bucks to semi fix it

I think they are Great cars wether your are a guy or girl. You can sport one of these up to be a great dude car. As far as cost it is a little bit more expensive for parts and having to pay foriegn car labor or dealership labor fees. The bad thing about having a diesel is the turbo because they can go out alot, good thing is the turbo cause of speed and torque. Overall I think they are great cars.

Hahaha they have more problems than a chrysler. LOL you must be stupid. Do you act stupid or where you born that way? I can tell many people comment on cars based on what they hear on the street.

I'm on my 3rd. Fun. Good on fuel. They can be costly to repair, but usually don't require much repair (just regular maintenance).Stay away from the diesel.

I had a 1991 Jetta and I drove it until it had 209,000 miles on it. Still ran good but the axle kept breaking.

Well made, dependable, higher than average repair costs (typical German auto), fair fuel mileage, girly car.

Don't get one! New or used. You will have nothing but problems.Someone told me that before I got one,I did not listen. They are very, very expensive to repair.Something is always going wrong with them.I would never buy another again. The smallest repair done on that car was 800.00.Good Luck!

DO NOT BUY ONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
My brother bought one and the transmission gears started wiggin out. Three weeks and two rental cars later, AAMCO still cant figure our whats wrong.
My mechanic told me, "When it starts to go, get rid of the car".
