looking to buy complete cyilender head

The 302 in my 1990 Ford Country Squire makes a knocking, rattling sound when first started up with the engine hot or cold. It almost sounds like pinging, but retarding the timing made no difference. The car has close to 230000 miles on it and I am wondering if this is the end of the motor. Let me know what the knocking noise might be and if the car is just going to stop running suddenly or gradually get worse. Also let me know how difficult it would be to put a remanufactured long block or crate engine in an old Crown Victoria. It is a station wagon in great shape and so useful that I hate to junk it. I saw Rockauto.com Auto Parts has 5.0L long block engines for about $1200 (or $10K, 435HP blue printed crate engines, Yee Haa!), but I need to know if changing the engine is something I should try myself. I do my own car repairs like brakes, radiator, etc. but have never swapped an engine. Is is something I can have fun doing myself or do I need too many special tools and skills?

I've worked in a shop for about a year, and have never seen the manual for our brake lathes, i was going to clean them up, so i asked my boss for the manuals, when he bought the shop he was never given them. I have looked the internet for some time now and have found nothing. what i am really looking for is what grade of oil to use in them. if anyone can be of any help, that would be awesome.

The Shuttle is so old. What ever happened with space research? Too busy with war I suppose. Can we do some of that instead of war? It is good for war too I suppose if it comes to that. Can we build a new shuttle? I remember the whole disaster day.

Obviously I will add oil before driving it again...it happened on my way to work. We maintain it every 3,000 miles and it's not due for another oil change until September. It's odd that we've never had to add oil since we leased it...it's a 2003 Grand Prix, also odd that the engine light came on.

Hi.

My BMW Mini's air conditioning stopped working in July. The BMW dealership couldn't identify the cause of the problem, and they just refilled the air conditioning system (costing £150).

Last week the Mini's air conditioning failed again. The BMW have quoted £300 to replace a few seals and refill the air conditioning system. Should they be charging me for refilling the air conditioner again?

I got a car , and im 20,

I wanted to do the pass plus and I did , but the instrustor was really terrible , I really felt like giving him one big punch, anyway I stoped doing pass plus and decided, just to get a car and do the insurance

I got a car now with a couple of free days insurance , so I went and phoned up other companies , to give me a insurance quate and they were so so high, they even said me doing the pass plus is going to cost me less which is true

so I phoned up now for , a instuctor to do a pass plus , and im only doing this for the sake of insurance other wise my driveing is so fantasic and I dont really need any skills plus i passed first time,

I m just so , worried about the instructor , I just dont want him to be
so bad or terrible like the one I got before , so have you ever heard of any good sensible pass plus instrutors

cause im really worried ,
