With 3 passengers......Can it hold 2/3 Bikes inside the cabin? Large international-type suitcases? Coffee table? Would love to hear the largest items you've carried in your Highlander.

3 passengers and 2 bikes yes. 3 bikes? I doubt it unless you strap it to the roof.

Large suitcases? Yes. Coffee table? Yes!

Helped my friend move most of her items with her Highlander, and seen some LARGE school science projects for her daughter in there too!

BUT - for the money the new body RAV4 has almost the same amount of passenger and cargo room. It costs less and according to my friend who works for Toyota Corp. its outselling the Highlanders by a mile.

=)

The Highlander is not as big as a full sized SUV, but does pretty good. I regularly haul large items. The biggest thing I ever had inside was my brother-in-law. (bigger than a bike) The split rear seat helps because you can haul longer items and three people at the same time.

Read your owner's manual...and, just remember, whatever you put in there with people that isn't secured down will become a projectile in the event of a crash....odds are not good for the passengers in this case.
