to be a smart *** 6 volts
if U try and charge a 12 volt battery with a 6 volt charger depending on the amperage of the charger, not much will happen the battery may charge slightly, but Ur more likely to blow up the charger.
doing it the other way round, U'll just blow up, or cook the the battery

The Civic has a 12 volt battery. If you hookup a 6 volt battery charger, nothing is going to happen.

today vehicles are 12volt. each acid hole in a battery is 2volt so if have six acid hole then you have 12v system. Becareful not to charge with incorrect volt which may cause damage to electrical system of your honda which = to big $$.
