Yesturday I came out to find my side window blown out and a neighbor said it was possibly caused by heat(it was a hot day here in the northeast). Its a 98 Ford. I am 42 years old and I have never heard of this nor has it ever happened before.

It also happened to another car in my parking lot of my condo.

Is this common? And if so does it happen in the southern states?

I think my Ford Ranger transmission is slipping a little, because when i back out of my inlcined drive way, and put it in gear, there is a slight but noticable hesistation. Happens from reverse to drive and drive to reverse. Should i park it on level ground?

1988 Chevy Celebrity appr. 80,000 miles. Started overheating, stalling. It had a radiator leak, which I repaired. I also replaced the thermostat, and spark plugs, flushed and refilled the radiator. Now, it starts and runs for a short time, maybe 5 minutes before it overheats, idles rough, stalls and then will not start again. After it cools off it takes several attempts before it will turn over. Any ideas, anyone?

I am rebuilding a bike that has been sitting outside for 3 years. Yes, it is probably stupid, but I'm trying anyway. On the carburetors, the screws holding the top cover to the main body, are horrible. some of them are basically crumbling when I try to turn them. I am using all kinds of liquid wrench etc... but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

It takes me one hour to travel 15 miles from Pasadena to Culver City. There has to be a better way to commute and not by bus or train. Everyone knows public transport in Los Angeles bites.

My 1995 isuzu rodeo has been bubbling and the tempature rises, but only when i have to stop and sit like at red lights and stop signs. When i'm on an open stretch of highway the tempature will go down and be fine. The water pump has been replaced and the water cycles thru. some one told me to flush the radiator but i don't know how they said i could buy a product that will do this. If anyone has any ideas on what this might be or what i can do i would really appreciate it im a single mother of 3 so my income is really limited.

Back to the same car. I have since replaced the idle air control valve. It helped the low idle problem. However now it races. The low idle has been solved, yet the engine races when started and in gear. Any ideas?
