i have a 2001 cadillac deville and i busted the back factory sub and i want to know is it ok if i disconnect it and put a subwoofer in the trunk? would that be better and what should i use only a 500 budget here i know not much but thats all

forget what they say i fit car audio as a profession ok you need to make shure the new subs match the old one if not get your self a small amp big enough for the sub `and go from there if it does not come right mail me at www.oxidecars@yahoo.com or come to east coast customs we are next door to them and if your lucky you can meet Xzibit

Just match the impedance (resistance) and wattage of the original. So as to not fry your HU.

I would NOT follow "oxidecars" suggestions as an amp won't have the same impedance as the sub. Some transistors in the HU could smoke because of this. Better safe than sorry (or pissed).
