Agreed that we all hate paying these high gas prices.
Why don't we lowwer the demand for gas (which will lowwer the price over a three or four month period) by using more public transportation?(such as the bus, subway, etc.)

Saturday morning when I tried to start my car all I heard was a click I called around talked to a couple of so called experts & they said it was between the battery & the starter I had it towed to a car service place about 2 in the afternoon they went to go push it in the garage & the man got in the car & it started right up They ran some tests & told me everything was fine About a hr later when i tried to start it it almost didnt start. So i took it back & i showed the man but the car wouldnt do it again It was workin fine until yesterday It stopped again I should mention that who ever had my car before rigged the stereo system all wrong When I turn the headlights on the stereo comes on plus there was some other wires dealing with the stereo on the sylenoid The wires were takin off the sylenoid tried to start it & at least this time the motor would actually turn over but it wouldnt start Hooked up the jumper cables & it still wouldnt start came back to it bout 2 hrs later & it started

My ex-husband was pulled over for speeding in California on his way home to Nevada; he had a valid NV drivers license, he was driving my car (Calif. registration) he got a ticket for speeding and for not having a valid CA license. He tried to explain to the officer that he didn't live in CA, cop said it didn't matter, to drive a car registered in CA you must have a CA license. I went to pay ticket for him was told the same thing by 4 people at the court. Is this true? What about people on vacation from different states that rent cars in California? This makes no sense

You know, the abused children that we help get so excited when they hear that sound. They feel safe knowing that the people that have pledged to help shield them from anymore abuse, might be just around the corner. If having loud pipes on my bike can help a child feel safer, then your objection means absolutely nothing to me.

I have heard such terrifying testimony in a court room about how an infant was burned numerous times with a cigarrette, bitten, shaken and tortured (then murdered before the age of 9 months), and you sit there so self righteous complaining about a little noise?? You need to sit back, shut up and pay attention. It's not all about you!!!

I know I know, everyone misplaces there vehicle at one point in their life. But, this is no ordinary incident. Three weeks later my car was found. Parked at the K-Mart two miles down the road. It turns out there isn't actually a Walley World in my town. Should I sue Wal Mart for all of the mental stress i have undergone?

Is the Ford Falcon, as produced in Australia in the 1980s, actually technologically derived from the British/ German Ford Granada of the late 70s? It seems to share many of its body panels, but doesn't have the same rear suspension, dash, and engine range. Also, I'm surprised by the fact that this car is actually more economical with its big 4.2L engine than the European with its tiniest ones. How does it do THAT? I'm getting 9L/ 100km out of it, as opposed to my Granada 2.8 V6 in Britain, which guzzled 14 to 18 at best.

I watch Pinks (on the Speed channel) a lot, and I noticed that they pour something in front of the cars before they spin their tires and race. What is this stuff? Is it just water, or is it some kind of special substance?

I ride a bike as a commuter and it is not uncommon for motorist to throw things at me and edge me off the road (even the bike path [if you can call a white line and a foot to two feet of asphalt a bike lane])

On the flip side there are the spandex people who seem to think that traffic signals do not apply to them. I would understand it if they came to a stop and waited awhile then went through a red light (with very few exceptions lights do not change for cyclist) but they seem to act as if the light or stop sign does not apply to them.

It is a small planet 7925 miles in diameter at the equator. less than 200 million sq.mi. TOTAL surface area INCLUDING the oceans. Less than 55 million sq. mi. 'dry' land including the Sahara and Antartica.
If I can travel over 7000 miles in a little over 2 months by bike (that is coast to coast and back in America) that shows how small the planet is and how much distance can be covered on a bike.

Bicycling is good for you and good for the planet

Just wondering if anyone knows of how to find cheap plane tickets. I would have to leave on a ASAP flight (when im ready, no buy 5 days before flights) as It would be for a family death which is imminent. My mom says she heard of something you can do to fly for near free, even if its in the middle of the night. I would leave from Albany NY to Ontario CA. Thank You

I already have two cars. Both are regular everyday cars. I love cars,
and wish I could buy something more collectable. Maybe a Saab
900, or something like that. But I don't have money to waste on
additional car depreciation. I would like to buy something reasonably priced which would actually be in demand 5-10 years from now, and retain much of its value. Any suggestions? I am not interested in a pimped out car. I simply love the look of a clean
car in original condition. But again, can buying a car every be a good investment? (with the exception of course of the obvious collectables such as the 65 mustang, and so on)
