how hard is hard? I have a 1995 325is with a new engine and for the first 500 miles I figure drive under 3 k rpm varying speeds, change oil, then after break in of engine 3000 miles, that I could take it up to 4 k regularly on the highway and even 5 k if required. i bought my car from my mechanic who had to replace the engine as the previous owner revved the engine too much. i can't find any details under search engines listing this problem

Why did the us automakers not use this technical info along time ago ? We watched the jap motors take over the economy market and all we did was make a crappy pinto and vega motor.

My wife and I are planning to visit Singapore this year. We will carry one large and one small luggage. Since taxis fee is usually higher, we are thinking about taking the MRT from airport terminal to the hotel we will be staying in. We have not decided on which hotel to stay in (we will choose the one which has a MRT station near by).
Is it convenience to carry the luggage and take MRT all the way from airport terminal to the hotel? Will there be too much hassle to cary a large luggage in the MRT? How about the return trip from hotel to airport? Or shall I just take the taxi and absorb the higher cost? Thanks!

Hey bikers ... I'm on an FXDLI and even though the thing weighs 700 pounds, red light sensors do not seem to pick me up. Translation: I get stuck at red lights for 10-15 minutes!

What do you do in this situation? Wait it out until someone pulls up behind you, or proceed through the red light?

Thanks!

First noticed last year after long drive of 300 miles straight. Burnt out one spark plug and car bucked like a pony running on 3.
Had one coil replaced and changed the spark plugs. Fixed.
Now 1 year later, I burn out a plug every month or so after a long drive, or one uphill. I feel like it has something to do with the amount of fuel the plugs are getting. It is stick shift and when the timing between the brake and the clutch is difficult, like going up a steap incline in snow or driving in real racing traffic in NYC then the spark plug burns out (ends burn then break off) under the coil packs only.
***This car has on the engine a sticker requesting only double grounded spark plugs (two arms at end) which I noticed a few months back. The double plug gives the car a lot more power but is burning out quite quickly. Car has 96K. Problems started at 70K. Should I try the new Bosch 4 grounded plug? If it is a fuel problem, how does one adjust the amount of fuel going to the plugs? Thank

Just got my car serviced. New tires, pads, and rotors. Also a new filter. When I drive my car it smells like burned plastic. Is that normal?
Thanks for any reply
