It's quite easy. Go to a party (Transport Unit) with an empty glass (Fuel Holding Cell). Fill it with an alcoholic beverage (Transporter Fuel) of your choice and consume. Do this 12-15 times. You will magically transport someplace else before you wake up. How did I get here? Hopefully it's where you want to be.

I wondered the same thing a couple years ago and finally found the directions on the internet. I had to get an electrician to put another dedicated electric line into one room of my house, but other than that it was pretty easy. I taught a friend how to use the controls and voila!

I would say just look around the internet for the directions. I can't find my set, otherwise I would send them to you.

The total cost was about $450, and it really works pretty well. You have to be careful not to end up transported onto a highway or into a wall or something, but with a little practice it really isn't a big deal.

First, you have to build the chamber. Then, install the transporter pads.Next, you need a phase 1 compensator. After that, add in a Heisenberg compensator.Install a Helix coil with a central bypass inhibitor. Finally you need a dilithium fragment to regulate the pulse generator.Install the computer keypad matrix and run a few simulated programs and your ready to go. HA HA HA HA! Klingon's rule!

Unfortunately the technology doesn't exist to build an actual working one of those. In quantum physics, they have been able to warp a single atomic particle to the other side of a room, but something made up of billions and billions of atomic particles of different descriptions such as a human or animal might be impossible with technology as it stands today. Give it another couple of hundred years and ask me that question, and maybe then they would have perfected the technology.
