For what? Speed? Luxury? Reliability? Styling?
For speed, I'd pick the Koenigsegg CCX or McLaren F1. The modern luxury standard would definitely be Rolls Royce or Maybach; reliability would go to Honda (I'd include Toyota but for the recent rash of operational issues)--and styling to the infamous Mercedes 300SL Gullwing or the Pinninfarina-designed Ferraris.
