The car alarm from the dealer is much more expensive than the one at the car alarm store, but we don't want to carry two heavy remotes (the car alarm and the one which came with the car.) I was wondering if the car alarm bought at the store (not dealer) could be made so it operates from the key-chain remote which came with the car, so we would have only one key-chain remote.

The car runs, but just blew one of it's seals in the engine. I think selling it for parts is the best idea, but I don't know where to do so. I thought about junkyards, but was told they wouldn't PAY for the car. I had to replace the trunk hood a few years ago, and paid around $200 bucks for it- is there anywhere I can sell it off for prices like that?

When under the truck you cannot even see the oil pan let alone get to it. The two answers that I got previously this morning were from two people that are not familiar with the 2002 ranger engine. Please only resond if you know what you are talking about.

My grandmother passed away recently without a will, and I am her only living relative. After speaking with an attorney, I have found that it is not worth probating her estate. Basically, she had no assets except for a car. And it would cost my husband and I $2,000 to probate her estate just to get title to a car that is maybe worth $1,000, so we would end up losing money. This is not something we are willing or financially able to do at this time.
But this leaves us with this car. The title is in my deceased step-grandfather's name, and can not be put into my name without going through probate.
What can I do with this car? Can I junk it? Will someone take it for parts? What are my options?
