Thermostat went out. Bought replacement. Top hose goes benind timing belt. Bottom hose disappears behind altenator... Before I start ripping things apart.... Anybody know?

On the top radiator hose next to the top hose be timing belt cover. Not to bad to put on if you have some swivel sockets. It may be easier to remove the timing belt cover to get better access to clean the old gasket off.

at the end of top hose. remove timing belt cover, 10mm head on bolts to thermostat housing,kind of a pain to get to but not bad with a flex socket. good luck

It looks like it connects to the upper radiator hose and another coolant hose.

Usually in the top hose at the cylinder head.

should be next to the intake manifold, at the end of the top hose.
