My bf and I spent alot of money to get our car fixed that we bought a month ago, a cheap car, but we put in new gaskets, heads, and some other stuff. It still however needs a new set of spark plugs and something with the power steering. But my question is, he was outside tonight working on the doors of the car, the wiring is all messed up, he was trying to rewire them since they were crossed wired, and fix the radio. He was out there for about three hours and started the car about 3 times maybe within that time. And when we tried to leave to go to the store, the car made this horrible clicking kind of noise and the lights in the cabin dimmed and flickered. Also the battery thing reads -8 he said. So is it just the battery that is run down right now then?
Will a jump start fix the problem and let the battery recharge while driving it after the jumpstart? Sorry I don't know much about cars, but we did spend almost more fixing it then we did paying for it.
