Virtually every large DIY store sells 8 by 4 ply these days. What thickness are you after?

Use 3/4 inch Marine ply ... any builders merchants. Should be about 50 quid ish, You need Marine ply to stand the rain.

We install a hard wood onto all of our lorries, it is called iroko, comes in long planks (Tongue and grove), hard as hell but watch out for the splinters, available from any good timber yard, personally wouldn't go for the ply as it wont last as good and is slippery in the wet.
