Hi everyone. I e-filed my tax return last night via taxact.com. My taxes are fairly simple since I just use the standardized deduction. Anyway, today I received a 1099-INT from from bank of america for $27.62. I was honestly surprised by it. I plugged the $27.62 into my original return on taxact and it reduced my federal refund about $13 and my state refund about $1, but I already submitted my return electronically last night. I don't want to get in trouble with the IRS so what do I do now? Thanks in advance.

What am I supposed to do?? I know it has to do with a W-2 form but I dont know what to do with that form. Im single, no kids, dont own property, over 18 (obviously), and dont have stocks. Am I supposed to fill out a form for this??? and if so, where do I get it and where do I send it once I have filled it out??
I want to do my taxes myself since Ive seen so many ppl get screwed on their taxes cuz they paid someone else to do them at H&R and I dont wanna deal with any of that.
How do I do my taxes?? I dont even know the first step in doing taxes!! Can someone please help???

I was wondering if anyone has received their 1099-G forms yet? I know the IRS website says you just need to know the amount of benefits paid to you but I only claimed benefits twice and it was at the beginning of 2006...I can't remember the exact amount. My address has changed...could that be the delay? Can anyone help? When can I expect it?

I worked for Sears for most of 2005, but I don't anymore. I still haven't gotten my W2 from them yet. When I called the other day they told me they hadn't sent them out yet. I am going to have to pay in and I need to know how much so I can start saving up, but if they take another month to send me my W2 I may not have enough time. Why aren't employers ever on a deadline but us employees are? Three years ago I worked for Save A Lot and they took until the end of February to get the friggen thing to me! Why is it so unfair?

I've been imaging old tax forms and receipts that are over 6 years old and was wondering, do I really need to keep all that paper when I can image all the receipts, statements, and forms into a single computer image for each year which I can always view or print if needed? Or do I really need original copies of receipts, etc.
