I recently found out I owe the IRS $650, but I'm living on welfare & can't afford it. Will they arrest me if I don't pay, or should I declare bankruptcy? I don't own a car or a house, & I have no credit cards or bank accounts.

I called Best Buy and they said since I paid cash they have no record. I know I bought it on 1/1/06 and that it was $699.99 plus tax. I had been waiting it to go down to this price for 6 weeks!!

Can I still claim it? This was a big expense for me.

NOTE: I never throw away receipts, but my in-laws had just shown up and I was in a hurry to put it together. I have a file that I keep receipts in and it's not there! So, I must've thrown it away with the packaging. I'm sick about it!

I am setting up an ebay Buisness as an LLC (Ltd. Liability Corp.) and I was wondering how taxes work. How do you know how much to give, when to give it, who to give it to, and so on. Thanks!

Does taxes allocated to value increases of curent inventories such as Golds , Precious Stones and Foreign Currencies ?
example if we deposited Euro 1000 which we bought at the begining of the year for USD 1100 and at the end of the fiscal year the value of this Euro 1000 rises to USD 1300 ; does this increase / the extra USD 200 should be considered taxable ?

We are the managing members each with 50%. My income outside of the business is close to FICA ceiling . My husband's sole income will be through the new business. The income for the business will probably be zero to $ 50,000 for the first two or three years. Is there a tax election that is beneficial under this scenario?

My mom’s estate (401K) makes an annual contribution to a BrightStar account we’ve set up for the kids. The money that went into the 401K is untaxed. Obviously, we must pay taxes on this.
I received a 1099-R from the trust. It appears we should complete a form 5329 - but in reading the instructions, 5329 does not seem to include this scenario. Would it be easier if I just add the 1099R to all my other 1099s and just report it as income?
