I worked for Sears for most of 2005, but I don't anymore. I still haven't gotten my W2 from them yet. When I called the other day they told me they hadn't sent them out yet. I am going to have to pay in and I need to know how much so I can start saving up, but if they take another month to send me my W2 I may not have enough time. Why aren't employers ever on a deadline but us employees are? Three years ago I worked for Save A Lot and they took until the end of February to get the friggen thing to me! Why is it so unfair?

If you do not have your W2 statement by Jan 31, call the employer, if they then do not send it by the 15th of Feb. Call the Internal Revenue Service to file a W2 Complaint, you need to have the name.address and phone number of the employer and the date that you worked for them.
If you are looking for W2 information from tax year 2005, Just call the Internal Revenue Service, once they verify your Identity they can send you a computer print out of your W2 information to you. If you have to file State taxes you have to contact your state for the amount of State withholding tax you had taken out, The IRS does not keep record of State tax information.

2005 ? I hope you mean 2006 ? Your employer has til 1 / 31 to mail out your W2. If you'd don't get it in a week after that I'd start making phone calls. If they don't comply, send a letter of complaint to the IRS. The IRS does'nt joke when it comes to losing money. I've worked in their mailroom before, and they actually pay people to look at the postmarks for forms that have been mailed late !

A really good team to protect you on where do you live on
the list of tax data is available. Property experts are good friends to make early in life. Many people find out things like
they are tax exempt. Why not you. Before you dive into the
mediocre deals from big clients that may not be indigenous,
get some help on what do you want in financial service. There
are for instance, 450 government protection clubs to shield
your privacy through legal teams, and keep your data update.
Employers may actually be slowing up so you have a chance
to see your options, as do their top performers.

You have until April 17 to file this year, and companies are not required to send out their W-2 statements until the end of January - they are not yet late. Call if you haven't received it by Feb 5.

employers are by law required to send out w-2's by the end of january. If they fail to do that you can report them however this law i believe is not that enforced so just keep hassling them.
