I have been working part-time since 2002. I just started filing taxes last year (2005). I have kind of figured out that I could go to the IRS website, but wanted to know if there is a website that I could use to do them without paying. I used TaxCut last year but they do not allow me to do previous. Also, how could I estimate what my refund is going to be? If I were to fill out everything by hand and mail it in, is there any way that I could receive my refund to my bank account? Thanks in advance!!

If I don't report this on my taxes will the IRS find out and if they do what will happen if they find out i didn't file it? I just don't know what to do right now as I didn't know i was going to have to pay taxes on savings bonds. I don't have no money at all to spare a month to the IRS as i just got a new car and student loans to pay off. I hope someone can help me with this matter. THanks, Justin

My wife barely works and we chose this so our son wouldn't have to go to day care. Obviously, our income would be higher if she went to work and our son went to day care. Can I state that I essentially pay her to watch my son while I go to work and receive the credit?

help, i owe the irs back taxes from 2004. I usually get a n RAL from H&R Block each year without problems, will i still get one this year or will the irs grab it first, and does H&R Block's bank inform the irs before giving me my RAL or does the irs find out when my w-2 is sent to them by H&R Block?

I claimed my 17yr old as a dependent and she earned less than $10,000. How should I report this income? She claimed exempt on her w-4.

I have contacted my previous boss asking her to provide me with at least a copy of my W2 to file my income tax...but she said I have to pay 59.00 dlrs to get it. Is that right? I'd just like to get some feedback and information on that...I just don't think it's right that I have to pay for something that belongs to me.
Isn't that kind of stopping me from doing my income tax return?
Thanks!

I'm filling out my federal return info online and am currently on the Earned Income section. My husband and I made less than 38,000 last year and have two kids ages 1 and 3 and lived in the US for all of 2006 (U.S. military overseas). But, it says we do not have any qualifying dependents for the EIC. We've qualified for the EIC in the past, why not this year?

Let's say I buy 100 shares at 10/share. The stock goes up 1 point so I sell to make a $100 profit. Do I get taxed when I sell the shares? If not, how do I know how much I should deduct from my earnings for tax?
I am just getting started with trading online, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

How will it affect my EIC? I already know I am qualified for EIC. But, I am wondering how will it affect someone a dependent and is working. How will it affect the dependent refund and the dependent is entitle to a state and federal refund? Will the dependent refund go down? Or, will the claimer EIC go down or up?
