My roommate has currently been living with his girlfriend in our 2 bedroom apartment and I haven't really minded. I'm going back home for the summer and need to find a sublet. However, finding a sublet with her living here will be difficult. If she is living here "unofficially" and will continue to, is there anyway to force to her to take over the lease (In Massachusetts)??? If I find a sublet, is it possible to force his girlfriend to pay at least 1/3rd of the rent and bills,(with my current roommate who is staying here paying the other 1/3) since she is living here? That way the rent would be 30% cheaper and it be easier to find a subletter.
Thanks in advance for your time and helping a student ;-)

I'm gonna be 19 in two day. I don't wanna live at home no more. I make a little more then $600 a month. 70 of it goes to my cell bill and it has to stay on! The rest is for whatever. So that gives me 530 but I also would need some cash for food & bills and stuff. I have no friends that I can share a place with so I would be on my own. Does anyone have any idea's on how I could pull this off or if it would even be possible? I live in P.A.

What exactly does full heir mean?
my grandparents recently passed away, God rest thier souls, and in thier will they made me and my brother full heirs because our father dies 20+ years ago. my question is this: we are getting ready to sell their house and were told that when it does sell, that we have to split a share...is this true or because we were eached named full heirs, do we get our own share?

there are 6 other people involved in this too..my aunts and uncles and they are also named full heirs....they keep trying to tell me and my bro that we have to split a share. are they trying to cheat us?

my understanding is that all 8 of us get an equal share...am i wrong?

I have a 50k mortgage @ 5.68% on a coop bought for a total of 72k. After four years I think the coop's now worth about 300k. If I pay off the mortgage isn't that a significant return on my investment? I can use the coop as collateral if I need a loan before we retire and sell the place outright in about 8 to 12 yrs.

I am looking to buy a home within the next year. Should I pay off my old collections before trying for an FHA loan or will that drop my score? I pulled my Transunion score today and it is 624. I believe my Experian and Equifax are even lower...

What is the difference between co-op or condo in NYC. My girlfriend told me that you have to pass a board, which can be extremely strict . She also said that you have to have social and character or personal references. Which is usually more expensive and which is more reasonable.

we are getting ready to move into a new house and our closing date was set for the end of the month. Now, 6 days before closing a lien "popped up" and has to be taken care of. The seller is paying it and trying to take care of paperwork and our closing has been postponed for almost two weeks.

We had planned on moving, closing, etc on the date given to us and had many things arranged. The seller told us we could move in at the original date, before closing.

Is this okay? Are there any legal minefields we should watch out for?

My mom died 2 weeks ago, and my brother has been unable to locate her will. Apparently she never filed it with a lawyer either, so the lawyer is drawing up a renunciation. My oldest brother wants to keep the house, which is fine with the rest of us siblings, but does the renunciation mean he does not have to give each of us an equal share of the house's value? Is that something we have to take up with the lawyer?
