Her car was broken into last wk, her DVD & headrest TVS were stolen. Well, just about every day since there has been a car broken into in our parking lot. Last Tuesday, my roommate was in the parking lot moving her car, and saw suspicious kids looking inside of the cars! She immediatly called the police & seven cars showed up at our gate & couldn't get in!!...She had to go let them in...& the little asses got away. This happened again last nite, we heard glass breaking, saw a kid running away, called the cops, and had to let them in the gate! These kids have seen both of us and know we have called the cops on them...we are scared for our safety & property. The landlord is not doin anything...no add'l security like they said they would..the thieves can get in & cops cant! We dont kno if the may retaliate for callin the cops. Does this situation give us a legit reason to move b4 the lease is up? Our lease has no early termination clause...We want to get the hell out of here!!! HELP!

Do landlords have too much power or not enough? Do tenants get away with too much or are they up against a wall?

Please say what state/country you live in.

I went to a sales office in an exclusive business development to inquire about an ad I saw for a luxury condo. The sales agent of course tells me that it is good to get in early because the builder does not have an exact price for the market due to current construction. Everything seems on the up and up, but I am curious if it is a good move. She told me that the price that I am getting is a very good deal because the condo is not complete and after the builder is finished with the project, the unit will surely increase in price.

We need to sell our home or at least have someone help us with our loan arrears but the offers we are getting are less then the debt we have on our home. We have seen many companies promoting their We Buy Houses program, but we are not sure exactly how they work. We are located in the Sydney metro area in Australia, so we were hoping to find someone in this area who could maybe help out. Look forward to hearing from anyone who does this kind on thing in Sydney.

I have a townhome and I want to rent ir out, but I am not too sure of a good website to list it on. I want to make sure it is a decent website where I know someone will look at it and not a website where no one ever goes on it. Does anyone know of any good website to list my home for rent on, and some where where its not going to cost me a fortune for a small amount of time. Thanks to everyone who posts on here.

Can I use my sister's excellent credit, get a mortgage in her name, pay it (in her name) for a few years, then "buy" the property from her for e.g. $5.00, and assume the mortgage payments in my name?

I understand that when making an offer on a house, it's a requirement to put down some money ($1000 or 1%) to back up the offer. I know that the check will be made to an escrow company and not to the seller. The seller wants to sell the house by himself so he does not have an agent. I'm a buyer and I do not have an agent either. I'm in the process of shopping for a mortgage. My question is who gets to choose the escrow company (seller, buyer, agent or lender)?

Thank you,
Kenny

Both my wife and I have had some trouble in the past with our credit scores. They are currently in the low six hundreds. We will have virtually no debt within a month or so, and make about $90, 000 / year. We are trying to look for a $200,000 mortgage, but I haven't made a move yet because we are nervous about our poor scores. Would a co-signer help? Any suggestions?

I went to a website not long ago where I can view my house, the details about it, what I paid for it and what it is currently worth. I cannot find this website now. It was free and you could look up any house. Does anyone know what the site was called? I know it was free.

I am thinking about buying a home, perhaps a CHEAP one like 60,000 that I could fix up. However I don't have Excellent credit, but it's not poor either. I don't have any money for a down payment, and feel it would take too long to actually save for one, (10,000 maybe a few years).

Basically I would like tips and information on buying a home without a down payment or a very low one. And where in the US to buy a cheap home <70,000 to renovate to flip in a few years. And lastly, do you recommend buying w/o downpayment, renovating (on a loan) then selling to buy another home and repeat.

My husband and I are wanting to rehab a home.We found one for $40,000 that the bank owns and we think we can get for $35,000.It needs about $15,000 in repairs.(Maybe sell for high $70,000 when complete)My question is without touching our house note(equity line of credit, ect) what is the best way to go about getting a loan for this project w/o any $ down.We have excellent credit and was told possibly a construction loan where you just pay on the interest as you go.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Problem is her son who had previous power of attorney caused the house to have 2 liens against it in her name. The total of both are about -$16,000. Can we transfer with the liens on it????

I'm interested in buying a home and was wondering about the meaning (in Real estate "terminology") of these words and how *much more above appraised value the asking price can be? There's a house where the asking price is 100K but the appraised value is only 50K. Is it *fair* then? How can one determine a fair offer on such a difference?
