My bank charged me $210 total for overdraft fees 6 at $35 each. I made an ATM deposit of $599. The receipt says posting date 3/5 by bankstatment shows a deposit on 3/5 for the $599. They are trying to tell me that my availible balance went into the negative on 3/5 as they were posting check card authorizations to my account because only $100 of the $599 posted on the 5th the rest was availible to me on 3/6 which is when the overdraft fees showed up! They are refusing to credit any of the fees back to me. They only thing they keep saying is that I went over my availible balance and not all of my deposit went in on 3/5. I have online banking and check it all the time I never saw it go over not once! Besides the money is right there! Any advice as a single mom I can't afford this ecpecially since my ex refuses to pay any child support. I filed a claim with the BBB this morning too. Thanks.

I am 21 years old, almost 22. My credit score is 690 and I was wondering if this was a good number for me. I have had a small line of credit out since I was 18. ($500) and someone told me that it was good to have that. I have never had a car in my name either. (I borrow my mom's extra truck sometimes). If I close my Kohl's account and my Kroger's charge account, will it make it better?

Over the last almost two years now we had our mail stolen twice. It has been a full time job trying tog et my identity back, fight or pay for late fees, gets ultilies turned back on, etc. and my credit seems irrepairably damaged. I have police reports and dispostion reports from the local and federal Governments (The first time it was stolen by postal employees) and other "official" papers but many creditors and other business establishments don't seem to believe this has happened. (I understand that it SOUNDS like a lie that stuff would be stolen twice within such a short period of time). The big problem is we really need two new cars and I'm afraid I can't get financing or if I do the interest rates will bankrupt me. HELP?! Do you think it would help to send all the info I have to the crediting bureaus and let them work it out with creditors?

Why or why not? Neither credit cards were past due, over the limit, or had late payment. Thanks.

If your vehicle gets reposessed....and you do not pay to get it back...are you still responsible for the balance of the lease that you owe? I am aware it shows on your credit for 7 years and so on...Just wondering about the balance of a lease if you no longer have the vehicle due to reposession?

My wife went to the emergency room. We have insurance with a high co-pay. We own a home and don't plan on buying another one any time soon. We have enough cash to pay the bill, some in my wifes name. I believe that the law is that a creditor can only force you into bankruptcy if you are delinquent on debts totaling around $11,000. the bill will be under $11k. My questions are 1 - If we just don't pay I know that it will show up on her credit, but what else will happen? will they sue or will it just go away in 7 years? 2- my credit is great - will it hurt my credit score if they charge it to her? (If you are wondering why I am thinking of not paying it is because I am FED UP with this crappy system. I'm not rich but I work hard and try to save + provide for my sick wife who cant work. It seems that people like me bear all the costs of the system in high taxes/insurance, and we get to pay for all the living expenses of everyone with a hand out to the govt.)

Student Loan: $2625, Best Buy Card: $2029, Old Mastercard: $2871, Old car loan: $1090(it was reposed and this is what they want from me b/c it didn't get full value at auction), Hospital Bill: $264 (didn't have any insurance at the time).

How should I pay all of these off? I'm not opposed to Bankruptcy and already work a FT Job but don't make alot. I want to pay under $200/MO for 4 years to kill the debt.

What steps should I take here? Counseling? Consolidation? Any info would be VERY helpful I really want to get this behind me.

The job i'm at now takes alot of my time so a 2nd job is out of the question at this point.

PLEASE Help! : )

I mean that I was evicted seven years ago due to a lay off, and I am now thinking about moving into a nicer home, however, I'm unsure of whether or not my eviction will show up when they do the credit check. I have read that it's seven years, but some said it stays on forever? I live in California, if that helps.

I recently moved out. I tried to get a cellphone and they told me I need to put a 250.00 deposit down. I never had a credit card or any other type of credit. I haven't signed anything. I think that my Aunt (she used to be my representative payee on my social security check) had something to do with my credit beingt messed up. I appreciate all of your help. God bless you.
