Do you think loans from CashCall (dot com) are a good idea? Everyone I ask tells me, "Heck NO!!!" and that the interest is going to be crazy high. Anyone ever had a loan from them? What should I expect?

If so, doesn't all those credit inquiries hurt your credit? Or, can you provide your credit report to prevent them from pulling it?

I now make a higher salary and can focus on chopping away at the debts and improving my credit score. The debt includes 1 student loan with a 10% APR and 3 maxed out credit cards with APRs under 4%. I estimate I can rid myself of the entire debt over 2 years. Paying off the highest APR debts first would seem the smartest, however, I also know that maxed out credit cards look bad so maybe those should be cleared first.

My question: in what order should I pay off the debts to best improve my credit score?

Currently I have a 624.00 balance on my capital one card, with and apr of 20/55%. I got an offer for a GM Flexible Earning Card. Which offers a 0% apr on balance transfers fixed through december 2007. Now I'm considering applying for this card and transfering the balance so I can cut the apr, I'm paying on my cap one? Can you explain how it work and does it seem like a good idea?

Out of the 624, 200 is mine the rest is my mom's, helping her pay some bills. She wants me to apply for this card, so that she can have one for an emergency if anything comes up. Because the current card I have is $2500 and I don't know what the GM will be.

So should I get this card to get the balace tran and be able to pay off the cap one card faster. It also would help with getting a car in the near future, what are your thoughts?

I was given three B of A checks made out to me and given to me by a woman. I had known for about three weeks. I cashed the checks at B of A and gave the woman all of the proceeds from the cashed checks. It was later learned that the checks were forged by the woman who gave the checks to me to cash.

One of the checks had a stop notice with B of A .

I took the checks to B of A to cash because I thought they would verify that the signature on their checks was good and that B of A had the responsibility due diligence to validate the checks were good.

B of A is now demanding payment from me.

What can I do?

i am 87 years old and duped by this woman and B of A.
