Start your own website with a shopping cart. If you are going to build a site for business purposes, make sure to get your own domain name. Its cheaper than you think. Here is a guide to getting started: http://www.richkahmer.com/build-a-website.html

Depends on the product.

The first poster meant craigslist.org. I've used them to sell a lot of stuff (mostly stuff that I wouldn't plan to, or would be unable to ship.) The listings are free, though they do tend to frown on spamming the listings.

There are also some other auction sites to consider, although ebay is still the big name. You can try yahoo auctions, or overstock.com auctions, too.

Hi – I sell on eBay. I profit about $3,500 a month. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years, and I have sold over 12,000 items. I also teach eBay classes.

I can help you if you are having trouble on eBay, or if you would like to increase your sales.

Please email me directly at elizabethwells815@yahoo.com if I can answer any specific questions.
