I applied through NationPoint. They sent an email saying that I needed to login to view electronic documents. There is a form for me to sign saying that everything I put in the initial app is true, and to sign the copy of the fico and fax back. Is this a good sign or am I being too optimistic?

*Fico is 631

I applied for a chase credit card about a week ago, and they said that I hadn't been denied, but I haven't been approved either online. If I still haven't heard from them yet is that a good sign, or a bad sign? I've had bad credit in the past and I just got everything cleared up on my credit report and i'm anxious to get my credit back up, so i'm hoping to get a new credit card with a low fixed amount. Thanks!

well I got a check up on the last city I use to live at. I'm 18 but I don't drive yet and worse is that I have a hospital bill that is $109. my dad doesnt know about it because its too personal and I'm trying to find a way to send the money, plus my mom is dead so it doesnt help at all. Is it ok to just send the money by mail with a letter with it, or do I really got to send it in like western union or what? because I think western union is also taking lots of my money to also pay up to send it to the destination. Plz help me

A collection agency is requesting payment for a debt owed beginning in september of 2001 (date of first delinquency: 6 years ago).
The information is not in any of my credit reports. If it was, It should drop off in September of next year. But if I pay it, wont they report it as a paid collection and keep this paid collection on my credit reports for the next seven years? Or if I don't pay it, do you think it will be entered on my credit reports and then drop off anyway?
Please help.
Thanks

I have student loans but I am still in school and I've got several more years to go. I don't want to get a credit card because I'm not sure I can trust myself with it. I have a car but it is in my dad's name because I don't think I have the credit to get one without a co-signer and no one is availible to cosign. Since I still live at home, how can I raise my credit score without a credit card?

i had my car impounded. after one month i received a bill saying that i was being sent to collections. when i contacted the collection company, they told me that the amount which was of $1300 had gone up to $2300. they were arguing that they had it over interest of a 20%. i dont know is it possible that collection companies charge a fixed interest based on the original amount.?

my current car is in my father's name, but i have been making the payments coming right out of my checking account for about 3 years now. can I somehow get credit for it as far as showing a bank proof that I am making the payments on it. I know the golden rule of credit is, its its not in your name then you cant get credit for it, but if you can show proof that you are making the payments and its coming right out of the bank where your trying to get some credit from etc....can it help you at all?? having 3 years of payments on time towards a car and you can prove it, whether its in your name or not should be able to help you out somehow in your quest to establish or get some credit

It does have to do with States. The FDCPA is federal, but states have collection laws also. When they are stricter, you have to follow them. That's why I am trying to see when they can speak to my wife. They ABSOLUTELY CANNOT speak to whomever answers the phone about your debt...

I went to my credit union to cash my sisters paycheck for her. The teller would not cash it because, it was a "third party check".

In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a debt collector allowed to speak to the spouse of a Consumer if the spouse is not a signitor of the agreement creating the debt? If so, does the consumer have to give permission first? I'm trying to figure out if a collector is allowed to speak to my wife for a credit card I had before we were married.
