Sure, not too many people know this but credit cards are actually alive and sentient. They fight inside your wallet or purse late at night. That's why cards get so worn out, those aren't swipe marks, those are battle wounds.

Since I work for AMEX (in Canada) I can tell you that I can never see someone's Visa bill. Now, if you are applying for a card, we see your credit report - but we still see no itemized lists of what has been purchased. I guess the only time we ever get an inkling of how much you purchase with other cards is when you call us to transfer balance from one card to another.
Privacy legislation in Canada is pretty severe, so you may wish to verify what regulations exist elsewhere (ie the U.S.)
