I'm 40 and started college last year, sometimes i ask myself why i'm doing this as i'm struggling for money and have 2 teenagers. I would love to be able to start my own small business after passing my course but have no idea where to get a loan to start it up. I have a few outstanding debts from the past so it's gonna be hard to get someone to trust me. Please dont judge me, at least i'm trying!

I have 5 credit cards with 0 balance on all of them. 2 of them have $300 credit limit and they are open in less than a year. Others have bigger limit. If I continue to use them for the next year there is $69 annual fee on each of those two cards. Should I close them before next year start or this is going to lower my credit score?

I got a divorce and did a quit of deed on the house we owned. He is now in forclosure on that home. When I went to get credit they tell me that my name is still associated with that home and I am still liable to the mortgage company that he owes. Doesn't of quit of deed relieve me of my debt to the mortgage company?

My soon to be ex husband is behind two payments on his truck loan. I've been getting letters in the mail and phone calls from the finance company. The finance company says I cannot go get the vehicle. Are they right? They say the only thing I can do is wait until vehicle is repo'd and then pick it up and pay the fees and get payments caught up to take possession of the vehicle.
