Has anyone been fooled by a credit counselor and ended up feeling raped?

A settlement attorney got fees and payments from me and I was left with worse credit and out of more money than when I started.

No, but have you tried looked under the FTC website, there is a listing off crooked credit counslor out there. Maybe yours is one of them. You can sued them. and reported them to the FTC.

You should've gone to Consumer Credit Counseling Service which has over 600 offices nationwide.

They are more reputable than Mr. Slim Shady.
