Please do not answer if you are debt-free. I want to hear from people who spend more than they make and carry big balances. How did you get into this position, and why don't you stop spending until your debt is paid off?

I am 22 years old, and I just got my first credit card 3 months ago, I have been paying that in full each month and will continue to do so, I also just got a loan from the bank for a car, which I co-signed with my mum. How can I make my credit score go up fast? As of right now I don't have enough credit to qualify for anything as I just started. Your advice would be apprecitated!

First off.. if you get a credit card offer from Juniper run for the hills. I got a card from them a while ago and my account was always in good standing. A few months back they started to raise my APR and when I called to ask why the answer was pretty much because they can. So I said I want my account closed when my balance reaches zero and there is no activity on my account but finance charges and payments. Now I see that even though the account is closed they raised my APR again. I thought my account terms stay at what they were when the account was closed until balance reaches 0 (because I did this once before with providian- another run for the hills company) I have since read numerous horror stories on JUNIPER on some bad business bureau site and this seems to be a common practice (raising APR's for no reason..because the economy is bad..etc) - so anyways the main thing I want to know is can they do this? and to warn people...

Another person same name as mine owes Ward's a lot of money that was put in my credit report. I finally got rid of it about 6 years ago. Now I get a letter from a collection agency trying to collect that amount. What can I do now? This person also filed bankruptcy which also appeared on my credit report. The DOB and SSN are all different. Please advise. Thanks.

My budget simply will not allow me to pay the monthly amount that a certain hospital requires to keep from going to collections or garnishment. We are tapped out! My husband and I went for several months being promised health insurance at his job and when it came through it was a catostrophic care plan with a $6,000 deductable. He has during that time had to visit several hospitals for health problems and the bills are almost $7,000! Please...someone help!
