Sometimes you can use prepaid cards for internet use, I would only try the ones that are reloadable though. I used a one time Visa card on a site and it said "declined" but then when I checked the balance...it had gone through and it took me a week to get the money put back on. Just be careful...make sure you get confirmation of payment, check the balance, and if there is a mistake, call the number on the back of the card for a full refund. It may take a few days though. Can't really hurt to try....it does work for most internet use.

Like most things in life, "it depends." Each retailer uses a different way of handling credit cards. They process the transaction via a Merchant Account (a middleman).

Some Merchant Accounts let the retailer handle any and every possible bank card out there. Others have restrictions. This is why some stores don't take American Express or Visa or whatever.

Give it a shot, what's the worst that can happen?
