Orchard Bank, aka Household.

You have to give them a security deposit, but it works well to establish credit.

Some small banks will allow individuals with little or no credit a small loan. That meaning no negative marks on your credit and loan amount 300.00 to 500.00. I might not have understood you correctly, but reading into your question it appears to me you would like to establish credit. I would recommend trying something like that if that is the case because credit cards can be dangerous at times. You could pay it back anywhere from 10 days to 3 months depending on the bank. If you do that and pay as promised this is a great way to gain credit.

i have basically zero credit cause im a college student...i really needed a credit card and i applied for a couple different ones to see which one i would get...i ended up getting accepted by capital one visa so i guess they are a good company for people who are just starting to think about creating a credit line for themselves.

dang i wish i knew

but you should be able to go to your credit union bank and as long as you have a pretty good balance in your savings account, they'll see that you can be responsible and they'll issue you a starter credit card.
