Credit - July 2006

Just got this certificate in the mail that said if your scratch off code maches this code you win 1 of 4 prizes. I won, so I went down to best buy used cars (where the flyer was from) and this guy guy asked me for my name, ss#. I aked why, he said it was ok. I ended up getting vacation getaway. It looks legit. But now I think I might have messed up. Please help, and what can I do to fix this?

I was checking my Equifax Credit Burea credit file today online. And noticed that a very old forgotten credit card debt (providian, I think), was 'bought' by an agency and they reposted in in the current month's date on my credit report online. Is this legimate? It was charged off long ago, and I forgot about it. Can they 'make it more current' like that?

where can i get a credit card with little credit. i have one capital one card. the limit was two hundred and i pay ten dollars a month on it...i would like to find one like that .....doens't have to be a big limit. but no prepaid cards. and please no reply's like...you don't need one..or anything like that...you really don't know the circumstance. thanks all!

My father has a credit card debt for about 4,500 from I am guessing over 6 to 7 years ago. He is receiving letters threatening a lawsuit. I was wondering if any one knows the legal time limit in California to collect a debt? I was also wondering what a lawsuit can do, he and my mother a disabled, and live off a state check which they barely get by on. I already give them money and cannot afford to pay this bill. I am trying to figure out what legal rights we have in case we do have to go to court.

If you have bad credit there is no hope. For most times it only takes a small loan to clear every debt and give a person a fresh start.Like me it would only take a small amount of money to get a fresh start. Credit Reporting Company should think about this

Ok , so now I am assuming that if you are still reading then you are 'wake up laughing to yourself' wealthy.
If you really are that wealthy you could buy me a state of the art computer and it probably wouldn't even matter to you.
