I am assuming you mean negative information such as late payments, and other items that are legitimate bad marks. The best way is to pay down your debts, stop making late payments and get a budget that works for you. I went through a bankruptcy about 3 1/2 years ago. While I finished school, I only had my car payment to worry about debt wise. Once I finished school, I have started to take on small debts that I can pay off quickly if I have to. I am trying to live within my means while still having some fun. I do have some other negative items that were not properly handled when I filled for bankruptcy that I am working on getting removed. Usually you try with the creditor first to have them remove it. If that doesn't work, than you can have the credit history people try to have it removed.

That is a VERY loaded question. It completely depends on the type of negatives and if they are listed correctly or not. Most people will tell they are stuck for 7-10 years no matter what... But if they are listed incorrectly in even the littlest way they can be removed. Check out creditboards.com .. it has all the information you could possibly ask for.

If the information is wrong, you can appeal to the Credit Reporting agency to have them correct it, but you have to prove that the information is in error. If it is negative and true, you can only wait for the time period for that type of report to come off.

If it's information that truly shouldn't be there contact the credit bureaus and dispute it. You have to file with each one (equifax, experian, and transunion) if the information is old or incorrect and should be removed, it will be corrected within 30 days

you don't...ever. things never get removed from your credit after 7 or 10 years like everyone thinks. what does happen is that when instances that occur on your report are resolved, after a certain amount of time they no longer have an impact on your score. but whatever hits your report, legitimate or not, will stay until you die
