This sounds really stupid, but I don't know and I have a job interview tomorrow. They want me to bring proof that I can legally work in the US. I'm over the age of 18, so what do they need?

It's only a 2 year program, no degree required. Why is this? I'd like to become one, but I'd like to have a degree..not just a certificate. I could always major in something, correct?

So I found out from one of my coworkers that my managers at work have been saying some unflattering things about me. I'm a cashier, and they think I call them up front to help me with things too much. This is my first time working retail, and I've only worked there for a month, so I don't know everything...and if I screw up something with a sale then that's a lost customer. I've been especially paranoid since my manager cornered me one day to tell me that my register was $20 short the last time I worked. I know I didn't take the money, but I still felt like crap.

Also, everyone else working there is really outgoing and will say whatever comes to mind, whereas I'm more reserved around people I don't know that well...I guess they see that as a bad thing. What should I do?

I'm an international student and I was recently convicted of a misdemeanor.

I've been trying to find my criminal record in various background check sites but I can't find my name. I think because I don't have a SSN.
How will a company do a background check for me?

I work full time 8 to 5 during the week. I'd prefer not to give up my weekends for a part time job, but I'm willing to work a couple nights a week somewhere to pick up some extra money. What can I do? NO RETAIL.

Do nurse anesthetics have to do more physical work and/or work more with people than an anesthesiologist? Is it true that it school is easier for a nurse anesthetic or is it just shorter? How often do anesthesiologists work without any CRNAs?

Dear Tom,
It was such a pleasure meeting you last Thursday. I appreciate the time you took out to interview me for the Office Manager position at ***. Your extensive and detailed description of the company, as well as the daily tasks and supervisory responsibilities of the job has without a doubt confirmed my desire to be a part of your very successful team.
I truly believe that you have found the perfect candidate in me; in turn, I have found a company that I not only want to work for, but be an essential part of. I'm positive that I can offer *** the leadership that you are looking for. In addition, among other vital strengths, I will bring to the company my personal initiative and excellent problem-solving skills. I'd like to express to you how particularly impressed I am with the office atmosphere, the wonderful products you offer, and most important, the company's philosophy of exceptional customer service. It is exactly what I am looking for.
(will end appropriately)

I am trying to write a letter of grievence about my manager, and have a meeting with the owners of the company that I work for.

I have specific instances of lack of knowledge of job skills. Personal retalation and discussing poor performances with co workers, are also some the things that I need to write about.
Poor work ethic, and personal sexual innuendo are also involved. Passive aggressive management skills and zeroing in on one specific employee at a time, along with favortism are also some of the complaints of the staff.
We have a very hostile work enviroment, coupled with disassociation in the workplace.

How should I start?
Should I list specific instances that I am personally aware of, even though it includes my co workers, and not always myself?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

A year ago a person in my home town told me that if I built a turn key system for lead generation, that we could pull in 400 leads a month, and roughly make at least $2,500 a month if not more. I spent 9 months building a turn key system, fixing every bug asked to fix, and implementing every feature asked to implement. 7 months ago momentum started to slow, almost coming to a halt.

I have attempted to correspond with this person via phone & e-mail, and no go. He is a 9 year salesman for one of the biggest timeshare companies in North America. The potential monies I'm going to lose is in the hundreds of thousands, as well as I have $50k of my own time & money invested here.

Do I have any legal rights with 9 months worth of e-mail, and no real contract? I would love to at least get my $50k after legal fees but I'd also like to be compensated for all the unnecessary stress this has caused over the last year. Perhaps even sue for the financial loss over time.

Thanks,

Eri

I need to take 3 days off to care for an ailing relative returning from the hospital. I have 2 weeks vacation time beginning at the start of the new year, if I chose to take the rest of the week off (since the first is a holiday) can my job have me fired? They are aware of the seriousness of this relatives condition but I have only worked there 8 months - though I had a satisfactory probation period. I am eligible for most benefits now including vacation, which I was able to start after 6 months of service. Should I take the time or not risk it?

I am a general manager in the Midwest for a major casual dine-in restaurant. I'm fairly good in the service industry. I received the Turn Around GM of year for the whole company. I like what I do but it can be vexing at times, to say the least. I want to move back East to be closer to family (Virginia, N.C.) Not opposed to a career change. Any suggestions? I'm 34.

I cannot think of what to say so say yes and yep when they ask me something. I have to carefully think out what to say and when I say it, it is not very confident.

No amount of preparation makes me any better at this. The more I prepare, the more nervous they say I am.

I try very hard to do well but they say I do not have communication skills, or I am too nervous or unprepared. I take all the criticism on to try and learn but it always turns out the same.

I try and dress nicely, smile and be nice but no matter what I do it does not work. They are sizing me up and I feel intimidated. In the end I don't end up going to the interview. It is far too stressful for me. I would rather not work at all, because it is all too much for me but need to.
What can I do?

I was offered a job at the Green Mill and i start in a few days. I figured it was going to be a full time position but i was told it was only going to be part time when I got hired. I took it anyway because I need a job. I just graduated from college and am living on my own and will have to pay off loans. everything is so expensive where I live.

I applied to a ton of places and am still waiting for "thee job" but all I am getting is waitressing offers so I am taking what I get so I don't end up on the streets. Now I have a possible offer at Red Lobster. Is it possible to take both jobs? what conflict could arise from it? Have any of you taken 2 waitressing jobs or two similar type jobs before?

job pays great, great benefits insurance, retirement etc. i hate what i do and the people i work with. no one here likes their job and only stay for money and benies. im out of town 90% of the time. i have to stay 10 years to get full benefits for retirement. working conditions are hard and dangerous. im made to feel guilty because of the money and told at my age im pretty much stuck here. this is a construction type job and everyone except me is in their 20's. im in good shape now but i can feel the wear and tear on my body. my passion is art. im a portrait artist. i can make a living at it but wife says there's no retirement or benefits so it's not worth it . so is this really my only avenue, 10 - 15 yrs of hell wasting away to retire so i can actually do something i love and good at?
