I started working at my job in Sept. the week I started I ended up getting really sick and going to the E.R. my boss were understanding and I missed a couple of days. Then I ended up calling off four days because I sprained my foot 2months later. And gave them a doctor's note. Today I didnt feel like going to work at all so I called it. My mom thinks I'm going to get fired do you think that poissble. I mean I'm just a kind and I dont want to work all the time. I need to know what someone else thinks. I missed maybe 6 days in a 4month period.

Yes you are on a fast track for being fired. Check your company handbook or policy manual on the limitations on sick days and the termination procedures. Chances are you will get a disciplinary warning first, and if behavior and performance do not improve you will be fired.

Keep in mind when you take the day off, sick or not, other people in the company have to make up the slack or the employer has to get another worker in. This is not fair to them or to the company. If you are not willing to work full time, then get yourself a part time job.

Your employer pays money because he/she has a job that needs to get done. For the first 2 incidents an employer may understand but after that I would expect you to show up to work short of having to go to the hospital. You have a job that someone else wants and if you only go when you feel like it then the employer will fire you for someone who will be there every day to "GET THE JOB DONE" which is the initial reason you were hired. Quit if you don't want to work because you WILL get fired with this work record sooner rather than later.

If you don't want to work "all the time" then you need to specify at the interview what times and how many hours you are willing to work-before you get hired.

I recently got a job where I wanted to work 3rd shift and all they had was 1st. I couldve waited to take the 3rd when it was available, but I jumped at 1st shift because i needed the money. Well, I ended up quitting because I hated it so bad! I should've just waited for the other position to open up!!

Definitely possible. Employers need people they can rely on to be at work when they are scheduled.

Frankly, if you were working for me I'd fire you - or at a minimum give you a warning tomorrow that if you missed any more work, you were gone.

I would fire you not because of the time you have missed but because of your poor attitude.

They're paying you to work, not to take days off.
