I just recently had to add my husband (who recently lost his job and coverage) and my newborn baby to my insurance plan at work. I now have 200 dollars cut out of my check every 2 weeks when I get paid. I have a $30,000 yr salary that was substantial at first but now I don't know. I only have a BS degree. I have been working in this field for 4+ yrs. I'm too exhausted to job hunt. I wouldn't be able to work a second job because of baby and exhaustion. My main point is a good job is too hard to come by but what are you all's views? Should I start looking for something else or just wait on a potential raise at the end of the year? Do you really think my salary sucks? My workplace is really laid back and settle. I'm a case manager for elderly and disabled ppl. I know most of you are going to say make more money to live lavishly but I just want enough money to pay my bills, etc have not live a fantasy life. It would be kinda nice but I'm not the kind of person to die for fortune or fame.

Can I negotiate timing? I would like to report at 10 am and then work however long but its the morning time frame which brings me down but dont ask about the pay! It beats my current job twice ! and the modeling comes as bonus! LOL

It is too much for small claims court and too small for a lawyer. He also classified me as a independant contractor and took nothing out from my prevous paychecks. Florida wage and hour told me that they cannot do anything because he is an idividual and not a company. Thr IRS has not gotten back to me with a job clarification ie independant or employee. any ideas?

I was asking from a nursing school the number of total students in their nursing department out of the3500 students on their campus, and they only replied back that they accept 68 intakes twice per year for adult nursing and 26 intakes twice per year for mental health nursing.

So , in your estimation, how many nursing students do you they have in total at this campus??

Thanks for your answers!

i know there are dummies and know it alls at the workplace, and the severe of both need to be retrained and if not fired....but why is it that people have to be harassed on a daily basis at the workplace when they are doing their job right because someone else is getting less caring about their own part in the workplace......i work a job and i see people acting all lazy and not productive while i'm being very productive....then i see them getting all the credit for work that i'm doing and and i'm getting less credit for the work i'm doing, it should be the other way around but they get credit for doing the things wrong and i'm not getting credit for doing things right...and the funny part is in the long run they will keep their job and i will lose it if this keeps going on, how crazy is that

I work in a prominent conventions facility. It is part of my job (team leader) to be in charge of new employees. For the past 2 years, no problems.

Recently two new workers have caused me much inconvenience, I spend all night chasing them up & neglecting the other workers. They disappear & I find them doing some irrelevent task. I ask them to go back to their job, recieve resistance & often return to find them off again. They continually question my judgement. They refuse to do things the way we are supposed to: little things like how a table should be set, on which our company has strict guidelines.
I approached them regarding the attitude & was quickly told that they have studied hospitality & are therefore more qualified for my job than I am. My superiors are aware & have encouraged me to get nasty with them and give them the crappiest jobs. But I am far from a push-over as it is & I don't think it is appropriate to bully them, I have always got on well with my colleagues.

I have three kids I need to support, I have decided it's time to get off of welfare and get back to work. (before you start ragging on me about welfare, all three of my kids were born premature and had special needs until about 2 years of age, my youngest will be 3 in Feb.) I don't have my GED because I never had time to go to the mandatory GED classes here, but I really would rather not flip burgers. What would be a good entry level position somewhere? I also have terrible credit, and a conviction for passing bad checks four years ago. How limited are my job prospects because of these things? Would a factory somewhere hire me? I live in NW Ohio, there are a lot of factories here. Any advice is appreciated.

I really don't know what I could major in. Nothing I'm good at could really make a living. I'm an artist, sketching, mostly, and alittle bit of painting. I love animals, and I know that whatever I do, I would like to work with animals. I highly doubt I'd make a very good business woman. The only plan i've got right now is to become a pet groomer at petsmart or something, then get married and be a houswife and stay at home mom, then when my kids are older, i could have a doggie day care. but what happens if i need to make a living and support my family no my own? I don't know what I should go to college for. Would anyone have any idea what kind of career a person like me migh be good at?

I have an interview with HR in a few days, and they have already sent me the application to fill out. Under the employment history there is also salary history. Should I just leave this blank, or fill it out accurately, or inflate my salary just a little bit? Some of my friends say to inflate just a little bit (everyone does it supposedly?). I know that I am a little underqualified for the position, and my salary shows it. What would you do???

Today I was interviewed by a panel of 3 people at North East ISD. (A local major school district) for a clerical position.
The problem is, I only remember the assistant pricipals name and not the other two people.

1. How should I address it?
2. What should I say?
