I really don't know what I could major in. Nothing I'm good at could really make a living. I'm an artist, sketching, mostly, and alittle bit of painting. I love animals, and I know that whatever I do, I would like to work with animals. I highly doubt I'd make a very good business woman. The only plan i've got right now is to become a pet groomer at petsmart or something, then get married and be a houswife and stay at home mom, then when my kids are older, i could have a doggie day care. but what happens if i need to make a living and support my family no my own? I don't know what I should go to college for. Would anyone have any idea what kind of career a person like me migh be good at?

If you don't want all the schooling of becoming a veterinarian, you could become a veterinarian technician. There are 2-year schools for this, but some vet offices allow people to work to gain experience as a tech assistant, and slowly learn to do the things the techs do. Then you can take the test. I have a friend who did it this way, and of course, she was guaranteed a job when she passed the test because she was already working there.
You could also try for a job in a zoo. You could look into being a caretaker at the zoo, or maybe lead tours, etc.
There's nothing wrong with being a groomer, but there are definitely many other jobs where you can work with animals too.
For college, I'd suggest getting a degree in biology. From there, you can go on to vet school if you want. Or, while you're in college you can work as a tech assistant in a vet's office or at a zoo. Best of luck!!

Nursing is hot these days you can make a great living. Accounting is always popular. Either will pay better than dog groomer and could be done as a wife and mother or single mother and make an actual living. You can become a dog groomer or teach obedience classes as a hobby but they aren't going to make you a good living. Counting on a future husband to make enough to support you and children isn't a great plan, if you have a career and find a man who can support you then that is a bonus.

Could you somehow combine your artist abilities with your love for animals? How about making personalized pet greeting cards - birthday, Christmas, etc. You could take pictures of people's pets (different poses and candid pictures) and then customize the cards with your own borders, etc. Maybe you could make samples when you have a doggie daycare. Show the owners when they pick up their dog and see if they would like to order some. Just a thought. You could also do this business online with a website. People would then have to send their pet pictures to you. You could either leave the writing section blank (so people could write their own greetings) or come up with some cute messages. If you copyrighted some of these cards, you could box them up and sell them.

Another idea: You could have a little pet store of a pet supplies, food, and gifts at your doggie day care for the busy pet owner.

If you like animals and want to work with them go to be a vet tech its 2 years of school and make anywhere from $15.00 up an hour so you would always be able to support yourself and a family. But first to make sure its what you really want to do get a job at an animal clinic as a kennel cleaner part time to start off thats what i did and am now a lab tech and about to be going to school myself to be a vet tech. Good luck to you

Become a vet or get your degree in biology or become a zoologist.
If you do not want to go for a four year degree, you can always become a vet tech or assistant or become a professional groomer. You could probably make pretty good money if you started your own grooming and kennel service.

As you love animals best thing would be to become a veterinary doctor/Nurse. Treating the sick animals and enjoying the scene of their recovery and coming back to full active life gives you top satisfaction in life. As an alternative you can also think of pursuing a diploma or degree in arts, or painting.
Your work or profession should not only provide livelihood but satisfaction and happiness.
All the best .... Go ahead ....
