Today I was interviewed by a panel of 3 people at North East ISD. (A local major school district) for a clerical position.
The problem is, I only remember the assistant pricipals name and not the other two people.

1. How should I address it?
2. What should I say?

Is a regular card better than email?

I would call the school and ask the person who answers the phone if they know the names of the other two people. If you don't think you would recognize the names of the other two, just forget it and address it to personnel. I would address it to the one name I remembered but that would be your choice. At least it will get to someone that you know has some idea who you are. I would thank them for having you in and say something how you enjoyed talking to them or the tour of the school or something about your interview. Then say something about why you would like to work at that specific ISD. And end up with you are looking forward to hearing from them. Just Blah blah blah it. You want them to know that you are well mannered and remember who you are and that you want to work there. Lots of luck.

1. you could call the school and see if the secretary can give you the other names. If not, Address it to the assistant principal. I don't have to remind you that spelling, etc is important. Keep it short.
2. A note is usually a good idea. Say you enjoyed meeting with the group, were impressed with the school and the people/philosophy etc and look forward to be considered for the position of xxx. Thank them for taking time out of their busy day to meet with you. If you have a key quality that makes you attractive you should slip it in. e.g. If they were looking for someone to coach sports and you had a background you might mention it.

I’ll do my best to answer your Q. Make a phone call and find out who the three folks were AND their titles. Ask for a brief description of each person.

Go to an office supply store or a stationery store and buy THE FINEST, BEST-QUALITY stationery and matching envelopes - letter size AND note size.

PLEASE DON’T purchase something for the price!

IT MUST BE THE BEST OR GREAT QUALITY. The color should be white or off-white.
If you aren’t sure, ask to speak with someone who KNOWS what is THE BEST.

I’ll mention a name: “Crane” stationery. As far as I’m concerned this is the best. This stationery is made by the same folks who make the paper for our U.S. currency. They don’t make the currency. They make the paper for our currency.

Send individual cards or notes. Do your best to recall what each one said.

Dear Mr. ----:

I just thought I would send you a note thanking you again for taking the time from your busy schedule to chat with me today about the clerical position.

I remember you mentioned . . .

Again, thank you very much.

Very Truly Yours,
Kevin

Short, sweet and good.

E-mails are “cold”. Many folks are leery about opening e-mails from folks they don’t know.

Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer it. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer. Thanks to everyone for reading my answer.

I wish you well!

1. Call the company and find out the names.
2. Go to http://www.Thank-You-Note-Samples.com and click "Interview Thanks" for a bunch of sample interview thank you notes.
3. Email is quicker and therefore better than a regular card. Your card could be in the mail while decisions and being made and the other candidates' thank-you emails already received!
