My sister is a senior in highschool this year. She obviously wants to do something with her life, but is dyslexic & somewhat illiterate. She has trouble even filling out job applications, and she isnt very savvy with communitcating word-wise (she knows what she wants to say, but it takes her a long time to say it)

What kind of jobs/careers/trades can i interest her in?
She needs something that not require:
-writing or reading alot (no office type work)
-speaking publicly or alot

Is there some kind of web site that i can go to where you take a survery and it would tell you what kind of career might be interesting depending on your anwsers?

THANKS

Does anyone know of some online or from home jobs that are available? There's a lot of scams out there, so I dunno which is good or not. I'm getting married on October 26th, and currently don't have much of an income. My fiance makes about $500 per paycheck, every two weeks. I'm only making about $100 a week -- babysitting. A job that kinda got tossed on me. We can't live by that -- barely enough for groceries and gas. Not to mention that we have two large dogs (one is 67lbs and one is 90lbs) and a cat that we have to afford for. We also have rent, though only $50 a month, its 50 we don't have. I need the work asap and I don't have any education after highschool (no money, no school.) So if anyone knows of anything, PLEASE tell me. Preferrably not babysitting. Anything with animals is great, and i'm good on computers as well. Thanks!

I have already asked this question and the response showed that that person needs to reread the details. This lady who my boyfriend cut her lawn for, claims that she should have her lawn cut until mid october at $25/cut twice a month($50 for the whole month). However he charges everyone 130-140 a month, but this lady had at first gotten away with paying 90 and her yard isn't worth 90 its worth 130-140. She says she paid in may for june, but when she paid in june and paid 140 she memoed the check for june/july. my boyfriend never agreed to her 50 a month and has called him and left messages in august on why he hasn't cut her yard in august. she didn't pay august, but according to her the 140 should carry her to mid october. She even has chased him around the yard at one of her neighbors house asking why he hasn't cut her yard. she never pays on time and doesn't know how stupid she is for the memo on june/july check. he doesn't cut her yard and i think he should file harassment.

I was sought out by this gentleman and he offered me a fantastic job where I can work from home doing advertising. (which is my background, marketing and sales).. He has asked me to ramp up a sales team and I will make a portion of their commission (perfectly normal)... Now all of a sudden his offer has changed pretty much, hes only offering me 10% commission (which I find insulting) and no travel expenses. This is a brand new, full color magazine and I understand they don't have much money, but I will be making it for them through national advertising campaigns. Anyway my question is how can I renegotiate my commission base without him just saying forget it. I really want this job, but there is NO way I can work for 10% and no salary. What would you do? Help...lol

Over the past 3 years, he has a felony and several lesser convictions against him including a DUI. All others are related to possesion. He's also spent 4-5 months over the past year in jail.

He applied for several entry level, minimum wage job at places like home depot and walgreens. Nobody would hire him after doing the background investigation.

He has turned his life around but now he can't even get a job at a mc. donalds. What options are left? It seems kind of sad to me that we live in a society where after making a few mistakes you're pretty much forced to become a begger or homeless. Fortunately my parrents have let him stay with them but this isn't a long term solution.

What can he do to get out of this hole? How long do those convictions show up on his record? Is there any hope for him? Are there any jobs that will hire a person in his situation?

I already have a 4-year degree with a major in chemistry, but it seemed like I wasted my time and money, since without experience my degree is useless. No one hires anyone anymore just because they have a degree. So what's the point in all the online degrees? What good can come from spending 2 years online for a degree, but still no work experience??

The co-worker said you weren't doing your job and making things up like telling your boss u said u didnt care about your job or if they fired you-things like that, that arent true, hiding important paperwork and things u need to do your job. How would you handle it? (U can't go to your boss because he thinks the situation is petty & silly and yet it does affect your job and the way he treats you?)

I have been given an offer to work in a storage company in a customer services kind of role. Its not exactly glamorous and its not exactly my dream career (i don't know what I want to do with my life!) but it is 16.2k a year, which I could really do with. What do you all rekon? Should I take the job - do it for a year or so? or hold out for something a little bit more dream based??

I won't lose any salary and a colleague has suggested I file a compensation claim. As I am half way through a 12 month contract and hoping to have torenewed, would I be stupid to try and sue the company.

It appears that they put them out Friday night and pick them up Sunday night. I want to do that, but can not find out any information on it. Please help me find out some info.

1. I have been interviewing quite a bit and I find myself having trouble answering these questions:
Name three of your weaknesses?
2. You have a degree in healthcare and an extensive work experience in health. Why are you looking for work at our company which isn't health related?
3. What are your long term goals?

I know my weaknesses but when it comes to telling someone my weaknesses, I can't think of any.
The positions I apply to I have experience in. I have over six years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a healthcare organization. I apply to A.A. positions in other companies not related in healthcare. The job descriptions for all jobs I apply to read similiar to my previous job.
When answering what my long term goal is I don't want to look like I don't have the company's interest in mind. For example, in an interview I've said my long term goal is acquiring the needed skills and experience to become an Office Manager.

Am an Accountant in the Govern. I have been invited for an interview in another organization for the same job. However, the reason for me to leave is the advantage of salary. I get less than what is at stake at the new organisation. I know during interviews I cannot tell the board that I want to leave because you are offering gud remuneration package.

So, I want to have the best reason that can convince the interviewers so that I am considered.

I work at a small cellular locally owned shop, and all of the stores in the chain has only TWO workers at every store. At first it sounded great, but then I met my co-worker.
Lets just call her satin for fun. Well the first few days with satin weren't all that bad. She helped me out a bit, gave me a good basic training, and we got along great. She talks a lot about her personal life, which I can live with (but should be private, such as family issues that are extremely personal.). But the last week I've worked with satin completley changed. She rushes me on stuff she hasn't trained me on, than verbally tells me how to use computer applications (very complicated, I even had to get a notebook to remember anything!). She has been very rude to the point that I can't stand her. I can take a joke, but she will go out of her way to humiliate me coldheartedly, .
I haven't had a job for a while so I want to keep this one, don't really want to quit, how should I deal with her? Thanks
