I have already asked this question and the response showed that that person needs to reread the details. This lady who my boyfriend cut her lawn for, claims that she should have her lawn cut until mid october at $25/cut twice a month($50 for the whole month). However he charges everyone 130-140 a month, but this lady had at first gotten away with paying 90 and her yard isn't worth 90 its worth 130-140. She says she paid in may for june, but when she paid in june and paid 140 she memoed the check for june/july. my boyfriend never agreed to her 50 a month and has called him and left messages in august on why he hasn't cut her yard in august. she didn't pay august, but according to her the 140 should carry her to mid october. She even has chased him around the yard at one of her neighbors house asking why he hasn't cut her yard. she never pays on time and doesn't know how stupid she is for the memo on june/july check. he doesn't cut her yard and i think he should file harassment.

He does pay taxes for his lawn care and she already knew the price for the cut. She just automatically claims that she can have it cut for less by him. We are talking this is a rich lady who has a corvette and hummer and doesn't want her lawn cut for 90 anymore. She doesn't make the price list. We do plan to write all our customers becuz we do plan to raise soon.

She is definitly a cheap skate. My father in law had the business before my boyfriend and has retired and handed it over to his son. He doesn't cut her lawn anymore since Aug.1. She just still calls.

I'd just ignore her. she sounds like she is probably nutty and if she is with this, she probably is with enough other things that the cops and the neigbors all know she is nutty already.

Sounds like she's not wrapped real tight. Crazy might be a little strong, but maybe valid.

If she asks why he hasn't cut her lawn, he should just tell her that it's because the cost is xxxx and she hasn't paid him. If he hasn't told her the price, and has accepted checks with a lower amount, he needs to clarify. He could send her a letter (certified, return receipt requested) showing his prices, and specifying payment in advance or at the time of service.

He could contact the police, but unless she has done some physical injury to him or his possessions, they probably won't be able to do much although they might talk to her and tell her to lay off.

One other slightly tricky issue. Is your boyfriend paying income tax on his income from lawn-cutting? He is required to.
