Is it better to work a FT job or an agency (nursing)?

Which is better depends on your goals. Both FT job and Agency work have their pluses and minuses.

FT job you get:
1) Subsidized medical benefits.
2) Retirement Pension and/or 401 K plan
3) Paid Vacations
4) Time off with pay when you get sick
5) Priority with medical care when you get hospitalized.


Agency you get
1) Generally none of what you get with FT job
2) Higher pay for the hours you work
3) Freedom to choose the assignments you accept

Agency is excellent for people who have another source of income or for whatever reason don't want to be tied to a job as a career. FT job is better if you are taking care of a family and you want security.
