I'm a senior in high school and this may sound really cheesey but I want to do something that helps people, but I was wondering how much patient interaction there actually is in pharmacy. Also what kind of hours do pharmacists work? I want to have a life outside of work and a family so is being a pharmacist too much of a demanding career to have a life outside of work? I know in retail pharmacy you would see the patients but what about in hospital pharmacy? Is it a satisfying career? If youre a pharmacist do you really feel like you are helping people?

I served 6.5 years in the Navy as a nuclear power officer. My education is in Industrial and Systems Engineering. I'm currently a program manager for a defense contractor. But I don't enjoy this job. How do I go about becoming a park ranger while supporting my family (i.e. not going back to school)? I know park ranger/ forest ranger jobs are hard to get, and you usually have to take seasonal work with the service, with the hopes of it leading to full time work. Is there any other way? Thanks.

hi
i have a weekend job at a local small supermarket, during my time of from university i tend to do more hours during in the week basically whatever hours the manager can offer me ill do. I only have one year left at uni so i would be looking to leave the company next year. however today the manager asked me to go on a duty manager course! i have always liked the idea of doing the course but will it cause friction between myself and others who have been there a lot longer and intend on staying with the company on a more permanent basis than me? the manager knows my situation reagrding uni and said she would really like me to do it still! should i take my friends advice and think about number1 for a change as afterall it will look good on my cv or should i give up the opportunity of duty manager????? (by the way i am 19 years old)

Okay ya'll, I worked for this company for 4 years, and quit abut 6 weeks ago. I haven't been able to find a new job, and now the old one wants me back. I quit because of scheduling issues which they say we can work out. The only thing Is I was so miserable there and it turned me into someone I am not. Even my friends and family notice it. Should I go back? What do ya'll think?

what would you do if the contract at your job ended and they were supposed to extend it by this past friday -- they did not -- and now they're telling you to come to work on Monday and they'll talk to HR (but there's no proof that you will get paid or that they will even do what they say as they are full of ****)...? Would Monday be your last day (even if you do NOT have another job) or do you keep going to work in hopes that they'll get their lying, lazy butts together enough to do as they promise?

I asked HR about my benefits in regard to "if I were to leave my job, when would the benefits terminate", etc. They questioned me (but did give me the answer) and I replied that I just wanted to know as I have a lot of school/internship things coming up in the future and I wasn't sure if I would end up having to leave my job if I couldn't make the hours work together.

The HR rep told me that I HAD to tell my boss that I was "thinking of leaving" and that they would at least give me the opportunity to tell him before they did! They said "nothing is kept from the managers." I was totally shocked and really upset by this.

Is this legal? ethical? normal in HR?

p.s. I have not talked to my boss, but from what I heard from other employees HR stopped by to see my boss (which NEVER happens) and brought a "termination of employment" form. I'm just a very part-time employee in a basic position--not anyone crucial to the functioning of anything!

Okay. So I had an interveiw at coles bookstore. im just in highschool. they said they'd call by friday. i cant wait, i want to know if i even have a chance.so here are the details. They are hiring 6 people. i wore a knee length white and olive green skirt, white tank top with white button up sweater and white flats. i answered the questions, but didnt go super prepared cause i didnt want to be fake. I knwo i didnt do the best i could, not at all.. some things really caught me off guard, like "define team spirit" and sutff like that. I was reeeally shy because i was so nervous. i was so shy they said it could be a problem, but i assured them im usually a people person. Now, my friend also got an interveiw there the day before me, and got called the same day and got the job. she said she wore regualr clothes from stitches, was a little shy. so, she got the job the same day she got interveiwed.. does this mean i wont get it? ughhhhhh im so worked up, i want this job so bad.

My son is playing on an AAU baseball team and they are a non profit team with a tax exempt id number. Does that mean that any donation that I get for that team is tax deductible as defined by IRC section 501 © (3)??
Thanks in advance. I am trying to put together a sponsor letter but want to make sure that my info is accurate.
Thanks

why do petential employers frustrate jobseekers with experience, it is simply impossible to gain experience when no one wants to give you the opportunity to start from somewhere. I tried to apply for trainee accountant post but wat suprised when i understood that i have to have 2 yrs experience to apply, who on earth has that kind of experience and is still a trainee, sounds stupid, any ideas on why this is will be highy appreciated.

i booked a holiday online, and decided the night before that i was not going , due to i had been ill, and thought i was not fit to travel. I was on medication, but thought i would be ok. i informed the Riad, in Morrocco, but the company in england say, that i would still have to pay for the holiday. The balance was upon arrival, i only paid a deposit online. The fact that they have proberly my credit card details, can they just go a head and take the balance. I did not take out insurance, but was going to do it the night before i would have flown out. thankyou.

My Boss is a very A-type person who is keen to get ahead. However, he's not a great mamger - he raises his voice to silence me when I am trying to explain a point. When he delegates something to me with a deadline I work heard to do a good job and meet it - and often he doesn't even bother looking at it or if he does he gives no feedback. I've seen him take credit for other peoples work and I suspect he does it to me. I don't want to quit or make a scene as I'm in a company I really want to build a career in. Any ideas for managing this guy?

No not really, there just is a displacement of nurses of where they are needed. There are 3.2 million nurses (RN's) in the USA, but they are not where they are needed, they are not in the ER's or in the ICU's, they are in other jobs like social work that could be filled by other qualified candidates, because of the stress and fatigue of ER/ICU work. Why do RN's compare themselves to doctors or lawyers... the trend has been most rn schools are moving to the community colleges. Doctors and lawyers trained at CC's? Thanks to the nurses union they have kept healthcare costs for the general consumer and nursing pay temporarily up, by creating an imaginary scarcity.

If you left a job and then later re-applied to the same company, do you have the right to know what's in your file? Specifically, if they've marked your file as "do not rehire," is H.R. required to tell you that? If you ask?
